Day 1 Mauritius
Arrive, resort check-in, beach and pool.
Welcome to Mauritius. Indian passport holders get a free visa on arrival for up to 90 days, so carry your return ticket and hotel voucher. Our representative meets you at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport for the transfer to your resort on the north-west coast, about one and a half hours away. Check in to your junior suite and spend the afternoon on the beach or by the pool. The resort charges a tourist fee of EUR 3 per person per night. Dinner at the resort. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 2 Mauritius
North island tour: Port Louis and Pamplemousses.
After breakfast, set out on a tour of the north. In Port Louis, the capital, visit the Aapravasi Ghat, a UNESCO site where indentured workers from India first landed in the 1800s, a moving stop for Indian travellers. Walk through the busy Central Market and the Caudan Waterfront. Then visit the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, famous for its giant water lilies and old spice trees. Return to the resort in the late afternoon for a swim and dinner. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 3 Mauritius
South island: Chamarel, Seven Coloured Earth, Grand Bassin.
A full day in the green south of the island. Visit Grand Bassin, the sacred lake also called Ganga Talao, with towering statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga, a pilgrimage site for Mauritians of Indian origin. Continue to the Black River Gorges viewpoint and the Chamarel waterfall, then the Seven Coloured Earth, where sand dunes show bands of red, purple and yellow. Stop at the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater in Curepipe on the way back. Dinner at the resort. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 4 Mauritius
Ile aux Cerfs and the east coast.
Today is about sun, sand and sea. Head to the east coast and take a boat to Ile aux Cerfs, an island ringed by white beaches and calm turquoise water. Swim, walk along the shore or try water sports at extra cost. On the way, the boat usually stops near the Grand River South East waterfall, which drops straight into the estuary. Carry sunscreen, a hat and a change of clothes. Return to your resort by evening for dinner and a quiet night. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 5 Mauritius
Free day at the resort.
A free day to enjoy your resort at your own pace. Start with a slow breakfast, then relax by the pool, snorkel off the beach, or book a spa treatment. The resort has a gym, yoga sessions and a kids' club for families. You might also take a catamaran cruise, try parasailing, or go swimming with dolphins on the west coast, all at extra cost and bookable through us. In the evening, watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean before dinner. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 6 Mauritius
Labourdonnais estate and dholl puri tasting.
Visit the Chateau de Labourdonnais in the north, a grand colonial mansion from 1859 set among orchards. Tour the house, then enjoy a tasting of fresh fruit juices and local rum at the estate's distillery. Later, try dholl puri, the island's favourite street food, a soft flatbread filled with ground yellow split peas and served with curry and chutney, a dish brought by Indian settlers. Spend your last evening by the beach with a farewell dinner at the resort. Overnight in Mauritius.

Day 7 Mauritius
Departure.
Enjoy a final breakfast and a last swim in the lagoon before checking out. Our representative transfers you to the airport, about one and a half hours away, in time for your flight home. Please reach the airport three hours before departure. Pick up Mauritian vanilla, rum, tea or spiced sugar at the duty-free shops as gifts. Keep some rupees or euros handy for small purchases and tips at the airport. Your Mauritius beach holiday ends here, with memories of lagoons, mountains and a warm island welcome.
