1. Day 1 Kuala Lumpur

   Arrive, free evening.

   Welcome to Malaysia. Indian passport holders can visit visa-free for up to 30 days, and must submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival. Our representative meets you at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for the transfer to your hotel, about one hour. Check in and rest. In the evening, see the Petronas Twin Towers lit up and the musical fountain at the KLCC Park. Kuala Lumpur is warm and humid all year, so carry light cotton clothes and an umbrella for sudden rain. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

2. Day 2 Kuala Lumpur

   City tour and KL Tower.

   A half-day city tour of Kuala Lumpur. See Merdeka Square, where Malaysia declared independence, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the National Mosque, the gates of the King's Palace and the National Monument. Go up the KL Tower to the observation deck for views over the city and the Petronas Towers. Spend the afternoon shopping on Bukit Bintang or in Petaling Street's Chinatown. Dress modestly for the mosque, where robes are provided, and carry water, as the city is hot and humid. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

3. Day 3 Kuala Lumpur

   Batu Caves and Genting Highlands.

   Visit the Batu Caves, a Hindu temple complex inside a limestone hill, guarded by a giant golden statue of Lord Murugan, reached by 272 colourful steps. Then drive up to Genting Highlands, a cool hill resort at about 1,800 metres, and ride the Awana Skyway cable car over the rainforest. Enjoy the rides at the Skytropolis indoor theme park, and visit the Chin Swee Caves Temple. Return to Kuala Lumpur. Carry a light jacket for Genting, which is much cooler. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

4. Day 4 Langkawi

   Fly to Langkawi.

   Transfer to the airport for your flight to Langkawi, about one hour, an island of beaches, rainforest and duty-free shopping in the Andaman Sea. Our representative meets you and takes you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon on Pantai Cenang, the island's most popular beach, with water sports and beach cafes. Watch the sunset over the sea. Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands, with mangrove forests, waterfalls and calm bays, and it is quieter and more relaxed than the busy capital. Overnight in Langkawi.

5. Day 5 Langkawi

   Sky Bridge and island.

   Ride the SkyCab cable car up Mount Mat Cincang, one of the steepest cable car rides in the world, and walk the Sky Bridge, a curved bridge hanging over the rainforest. Visit the Oriental Village at the base, with its SkyDome and 3D Art Museum. In the afternoon, take an island-hopping or mangrove boat tour to see eagles and limestone caves, at extra cost, or relax on the beach. The cable car closes in bad weather, so we plan around the forecast. Overnight in Langkawi.

6. Day 6 Langkawi

   Departure.

   After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Langkawi is a duty-free island, so pick up chocolates, perfumes or kitchenware before you leave. Our representative transfers you to Langkawi airport for your flight home, which usually connects through Kuala Lumpur. Please allow enough time for check-in. Langkawi airport is small and close to the main beaches, so the transfer is short. Keep your duty-free shopping receipts handy for checks on your flight home. Your Malaysia holiday ends here, with memories of towers, temples, cool highlands and island beaches.
