1. Day 1 Madrid

   Arrive, free time.

   Welcome to Spain. Indian travellers need a Schengen visa, which our team helps you file. Our driver meets you at Madrid airport for a private transfer to your hotel in the city centre. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, walk to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, the grand arcaded square, and enjoy tapas or churros with chocolate. Spaniards eat dinner late, often after nine, so plan a snack in the afternoon. Overnight in Madrid.

2. Day 2 Madrid

   Royal Palace and the Prado area.

   Enjoy a two-hour private tour of Madrid with an English-speaking driver. See the Royal Palace from outside, one of the largest palaces in Europe, the Almudena Cathedral, the grand Gran Vía and Plaza de Cibeles. In the afternoon, visit the Prado Museum area, home to masterpieces by Velázquez and Goya, or relax in the Retiro Park with its boating lake. Entry fees are extra. In the evening, try tapas in the La Latina district. Madrid's main museums offer free entry at set hours. Overnight in Madrid.

3. Day 3 Barcelona

   High-speed train to Barcelona.

   After breakfast, travel to Barcelona by the high-speed AVE train, which covers about 620 km in around two and a half hours, at speeds up to 300 km per hour. Train tickets can be booked through us. Check in to your hotel in Barcelona, then walk down La Rambla, visit the Boqueria food market and explore the Gothic Quarter. Keep an eye on your belongings, as pickpockets are active in busy areas. Reach the station 30 minutes early for security checks. Overnight in Barcelona.

4. Day 4 Barcelona

   Sagrada Família, Montjuïc, Gothic Quarter.

   A sightseeing tour of Barcelona. See the outside of the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's famous basilica still under construction, and the colourful buildings of Passeig de Gràcia. Drive up Montjuïc hill to see the Olympic stadium and views over the port. Walk through the Gothic Quarter, with its cathedral and medieval squares. Entry to the Sagrada Família and Park Güell can be booked in advance at extra cost. Enjoy a final dinner of paella. Book Sagrada Família tickets early, as slots sell out. Overnight in Barcelona.

5. Day 5 Barcelona

   Departure.

   After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a last stroll or some shopping for Spanish olive oil, saffron or leather goods. Our driver transfers you to Barcelona airport for your flight home. Please reach three hours before departure and claim VAT refunds on eligible purchases before check-in. Pack olive oil and wine bottles carefully in your checked luggage. Your journey through Spain and Portugal ends here, with memories of palaces, cathedrals, flamenco and sunny Mediterranean days.
