Day 1 Paris
Arrive, Indian dinner.
Welcome to Europe. Indian travellers need a Schengen visa, which our team helps you file well before departure. After landing in Paris, our representative meets you for the transfer to your hotel. Check in and rest after the long flight. In the evening, meet your tour manager and fellow travellers over a welcome Indian dinner, where you get the tour briefing, daily timings and tips for the trip. Keep your passport and valuables safe, as pickpockets are common in tourist areas. Overnight in Paris.
-
Day 2 Paris
Eiffel Tower, Versailles, illumination tour.
A full day in Paris. Go up the Eiffel Tower for views over the city, then enjoy a guided orientation drive past the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées, Place de la Concorde and the Louvre. In the afternoon, visit the Palace of Versailles, the grand home of Louis XIV, with its Hall of Mirrors and formal gardens. After dinner, take the evening illumination tour to see Paris lit up at night, the City of Light at its best. Overnight in Paris.
-
Day 3 Paris
Disneyland Paris.
Spend a full day at Disneyland Paris, about one hour from the city. Choose between Disneyland Park, with Sleeping Beauty Castle and rides such as Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean, and Walt Disney Studios Park, with its Marvel and Pixar rides. Meet Disney characters along Main Street and stay for the parade and the fireworks over the castle when scheduled. Wear comfortable shoes and use the park app to check waiting times. Carry snacks and a water bottle. Overnight in Paris.
-
Day 4 Amsterdam
Via Brussels, canal cruise.
After breakfast, drive north into Belgium for an orientation tour of Brussels, with the Grand Place, its gilded guild houses, and the famous Manneken Pis statue. Try Belgian waffles or chocolate before continuing to the Netherlands. In Amsterdam, take a cruise along the canals, a UNESCO-listed ring of waterways lined with narrow gabled houses, houseboats and bicycles. Indian dinner in the evening. Brussels is also known for its fries, comic murals and lace shops, so keep a little time for a stroll around the old centre. Overnight in Amsterdam.
-
Day 5 Frankfurt
Windmills, then into Germany.
Visit a traditional Dutch village to see windmills, wooden clogs being made and a cheese farm with tastings. Then drive into Germany, following the Rhine and its vineyards, with views of castles on the hillsides. In spring, the tour may visit the Keukenhof gardens instead, when its millions of tulips are in bloom. Arrive in the Frankfurt area by evening and check in after an Indian dinner. The Dutch countryside is flat and green, with canals, cows and bicycles everywhere you look. Overnight in Frankfurt.
-
Day 6 Zurich
Black Forest and Rhine Falls.
Drive south into the Black Forest, a region of thick pine woods and pretty villages, famous for cuckoo clocks and Black Forest cake. Watch a cuckoo clock demonstration and pick up a souvenir. Cross into Switzerland and stop at the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen, the largest waterfall in Europe by volume, where a boat takes you close to the thundering water. Continue to your hotel in the Zurich region. The falls are at their most powerful in early summer, after the snow melts. Overnight in Zurich.
-
Day 7 Zurich
Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe.
Today is the highlight of Switzerland. Travel to the Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe, at 3,454 metres, the highest railway station on the continent. Ride the cogwheel train through a tunnel inside the Eiger and Mönch mountains. At the top, visit the Ice Palace, step out onto the snow plateau and see the Aletsch Glacier, the longest in the Alps, from the Sphinx terrace. The air is thin, so move slowly. Indian meals as per itinerary. Carry sunglasses for the snow glare. Overnight in Zurich.
-
Day 8 Zurich
Mt Titlis and Lucerne.
Travel to Engelberg and ride the Rotair, the revolving cable car, up Mount Titlis at about 3,020 metres. Walk across the Titlis Cliff Walk, a suspension bridge high above the glacier, and visit the ice cave. In the afternoon, visit Lucerne, a lakeside town with the wooden Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument. Then stop at the Lindt Home of Chocolate near Zurich for a sweet finish to the day. Carry warm layers, gloves and sunglasses, as it is cold at the top. Overnight in Zurich.
-
Day 9 Innsbruck
Liechtenstein and Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
Drive east into Liechtenstein, one of the smallest countries in the world, and ride a mini train around Vaduz, its little capital below a castle. Continue into Austria through Alpine valleys to Wattens and visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds, a fantasy world of art installations made with crystals. Arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol, and see the Golden Roof in the old town. Indian dinner. Innsbruck sits in a valley surrounded by high peaks, and its old town is lovely for an evening walk. Overnight in Innsbruck.
-
Day 10 Padova
Venice by private boat, gondola.
Cross the Alps by the Brenner Pass into Italy and drive to the Venice area. Take a private boat across the lagoon to St Mark's Square, with St Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Glide through the canals on a gondola ride, included in your tour, and visit a Murano glass showroom. Walk through the narrow lanes and over small bridges before returning to your hotel near Padova. Watch your belongings in the crowded lanes near St Mark's. Overnight in Padova.
-
Day 11 Tuscany
Florence and Pisa.
Drive to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Enjoy a guided tour of the Duomo with its huge red dome, the Baptistery doors and Piazza della Signoria, with its copy of Michelangelo's David. Stop at Piazzale Michelangelo for the view over the city. In the afternoon, visit Pisa and the Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles, and take the classic photo holding it up. Florence is also famous for its leather market and gelato, so save a little time for both before moving on. Overnight in Tuscany.
-
Day 12 Rome
Vatican and Rome.
Travel to Rome, the Eternal City. Visit Vatican City, the smallest country in the world, for the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, or the Colosseum when the Vatican is closed, and St Peter's Basilica. Modest dress is needed, covering shoulders and knees. Then enjoy an orientation tour past the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Trevi Fountain, where you toss a coin to return one day. Farewell dinner with the group. Keep your passport safe, as Rome's crowds attract pickpockets. Overnight in Rome.
-
Day 13 Rome
Departure.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and say goodbye to your tour manager and fellow travellers. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a last walk or some shopping for Italian leather, olive oil or coffee. Our representative transfers you to Rome Fiumicino airport for your flight home. Please reach three hours before departure and claim VAT refunds on eligible purchases before check-in.
