Day 1 Mauritius
Arrive, resort check-in, dinner.
Welcome to Mauritius for Christmas. Indian passport holders get a free visa on arrival for up to 90 days. Our representative meets you at the airport for the shared transfer to your resort on Balaclava Bay, on the north-west coast. Check in to your sunset-view room and settle in. The resort has a heated pool, a private island for guests and a spa. A tourist fee of EUR 3 per person per night is paid at the hotel. Enjoy dinner at one of the resort's restaurants. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 2 Mauritius
Free day at the resort.
A free day to enjoy the resort. Try the included non-motorised water sports, such as kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and snorkelling, or take the glass-bottom boat ride over the coral reef. Families can make use of the kids' club. Spend the afternoon on the beach or at the spa, and watch the sun set over Balaclava Bay, one of the best sunset spots on the island. Dinner is chosen from the resort's restaurants, subject to availability. Ask the resort desk about the day's activity schedule. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 3 Mauritius
Christmas Eve gala dinner.
Christmas Eve in the tropics. Spend a relaxed day by the sea, perhaps with a massage or a long lunch by the pool. In the evening, dress up for the resort's Christmas Eve gala dinner, a festive buffet or set menu with music, decorations and celebrations for all ages. It is a wonderful way to spend Christmas with family or as a couple, far from the winter at home. Vegetarian and Jain options can be requested in advance. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 4 Mauritius
South island tour.
Head south for a full day of island scenery. Visit Grand Bassin, the sacred lake also called Ganga Talao, with tall statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. Continue to the Black River Gorges viewpoint and the Chamarel waterfall, then the Seven Coloured Earth with its bands of coloured sand. Stop at the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater in Curepipe on the way back. Carry a light jacket, as the uplands are cooler. Dinner at the resort. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 5 Mauritius
North island and Port Louis.
After breakfast, explore the north of the island. In Port Louis, the capital, visit the Aapravasi Ghat, a UNESCO site where indentured workers from India first arrived, then walk through the Central Market and the Caudan Waterfront. Continue to the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, known for its giant water lilies, spice trees and tortoises. The city can be busy during the festive season, so we plan an early start. Return to the resort for dinner. Carry water, a cap and comfortable walking shoes. Overnight in Mauritius.
-
Day 6 Mauritius
Beaches and lagoon tour.
A day for the island's famous beaches and lagoons. Travel to the east coast and take a boat to Ile aux Cerfs, with white sand and calm turquoise water ideal for swimming. Water sports such as parasailing and undersea walks are available at extra cost. The boat often stops near the Grand River South East waterfall. Return to the resort and enjoy your final evening, perhaps with a sunset drink by the bay and a farewell dinner. Overnight in Mauritius.

Day 7 Mauritius
Departure.
Enjoy a last breakfast with a view of the sea before checking out. Our representative transfers you to the airport in time for your flight home. Please reach the airport three hours before departure, as the holiday season is busy. Pick up Mauritian vanilla, rum or tea at the duty-free shops. Remember to carry your festive photos and a little island sunshine home with you. Your Christmas in Mauritius ends here, with memories of festive dinners, warm lagoons and island sunsets to carry into the new year.
