1. Day 1 Amritsar

   Arrive, Golden Temple and the night Palki Sahib.

   Arrive in Amritsar, where our driver meets you at the airport or railway station and takes you to your hotel near the Golden Temple. In the afternoon, visit Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest shrine of Sikhism, its gold-covered sanctum set in the shimmering Amrit Sarovar. Cover your head, remove shoes and socks, and wash your feet before entering. Eat at the langar, the free community kitchen that serves tens of thousands every day. Late at night, watch the Palki Sahib ceremony, when the holy book is carried to rest. Overnight in Amritsar.

2. Day 2 Amritsar

   Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum, Wagah Border.

   After breakfast, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the garden where hundreds of unarmed people were killed in 1919, with bullet marks still on the walls. Walk to the Partition Museum in the Town Hall, which tells the story of 1947 through personal memories. Then visit the Durgiana Temple and Gobindgarh Fort. In the afternoon, drive about 30 km to the Attari-Wagah border for the Beating Retreat ceremony at sunset, full of energy and patriotic spirit. Reach early for good seats and carry ID. Overnight in Amritsar.

3. Day 3 Amritsar

   Early darshan, then departure.

   Wake early for a peaceful visit to the Golden Temple at dawn, when the morning prayers begin and the crowds are smaller. Return to the hotel for breakfast, or try a hot Amritsari kulcha with chole at a famous local dhaba. Shop for phulkari dupattas, juttis, papad and wadiyan in Hall Bazaar. Our driver then drops you at Amritsar airport or railway station for your journey home. Your pilgrimage ends here, with the calm of the Golden Temple and the warmth of Punjab to remember.
